Has anyone returned to America with unpaid Speeding tickets??

Will they know they still exist??

What will they, can they do?

My friend did this but in Oz. He was arrested at passport control, don't know what they did with him but I imagine it involved bumming smile.

I can only assume America is the same.

Sorry thats probably no help.

Pay it.
When you return they would have issued a warrant for your arrest and at Passport control you may have a big problem (including being sent back home). Info given to me by a cop when we were caught doing 110mph on the highway from Houston to Austin, TX.

Always pay these things - they have a habit of catching up with you when you least want it.

I doubt that immigration will be informed of any speeding tickets as they are (I think) a per state matter.

How fast were you going? On the couple of occasions I have been stopped in the US I have talked my way out of a ticket, although I think the hassle factor of persuing an overseas offendor may have helped in the first instance as the guy was really annoyed.

I would pay it if I were you. American immigration is a nightmare at the best of times, so I wouldn't want to be going through it panicking about being arrested.

First time I was stopped in Utha doing 105mph $340-00 fine I thought fair cop I will pay when I get chance before my holidays up!!

Then whilst driving through Origon I was stopped doing 80mph as always they have nothing to back this up he just said I recon you were doing 80???? I did try and talk about this with him but he just went back to his car wrote a ticket out fri $287 for speeding & $287 for following to close!!!!!

There was no one in front of me so as you can imagine it was very annoying couldnt argue this with him as he just tossed the ticket in the car and took off!! C##t

It was at this point I thought lets not pay anything? now back in the UK & having second thoughts?????
