I walked through Playa last week and couldn't help noticing that the beach has... Gone confused Now either I'm going senile (possibly) or it really has gone. Anyone know where it's gone and why? My guess is it's at the bottom of the Atlantic somewhere.

Oh, and isn't Veronicas a tip these days smash

Veronicas was such a fking tip when I went a few years back. It was like a bad version of any British 'full of st bars' high street.

Being raped every 3 metres by someone wanting to give you free shots gets a bit boring after a while too.

The whole of Playa seems to have been radically redeveloped since I was last in Tenerife, it's almost as if a bunch of blokes sat in a smoke filled room and went... "I know, it's called Las Americas, let's make it like America" smash

We almost ran screaming back to Los Cristianos biggrin

Never been a lot of beach there? Always been more there than at LC

Starts at Veronicas, and goes along for @ 2 miles ish - to the bottom of the walkway by the posh hotel that has the pool one side of the walkway overlooking the ocean.

bd, I was gonna text you then turn my phone off for a week hehe

Ali, I know there used to be a beach starting at Veronicas all the way to LC, I walked it twenty odd years ago. At the moment though there's literally nothing, just black rocks.

We're back... Didn't ring matey as we couldn't move from the rooftop pool cloud9

That's the beach... At least it would have been if it was still there. I *think* it got washed away earlier in the year when they had storms but I wondered why they hadn't reinstated it. It really made Playa look a bit scuzzy.

Ah right - we did walk along past all that buy I honestly can't recall if it was there or not!! We went on the bits we went on (which was to the west, either side of the harbour) which were great fun, not too busy either.

Very, PH recommendation and a few hundred on Trip Advisor can't be wrong.

Gatwick baggage handlers are s to a man though. Two fking crews to unload eight aircraft at 01:30? smash I *may* have used the odd choice expletive or two in a bile riddled e-mail composed and sent while waiting.
