Anybody know of any garages or mechanics who can inspect / service / repair classic cars in the Moray / Nairn / Banff area ?

Even a retired mechanic or somebody that restores classics as a part time interest could be useful in the future...to assist in inspecting a potential purchase then help maintain it. [ I'm good at the spit & polish to maintain a quality finish but my mechanical skills are pathetic..]

Probably a British make - TVR/Triumph/MG

Thanks
Brian

Maybe ask at the Moray Motor Museum in Elgin.

You want a good, old fashioned motor engineer. Try JD in insch (seriously).

Thanks folks

I did enquire at the Moray Museum - if you see the quality of cars they are restoring and maintining the mechanic there is nothing short of a genius but my hinting about any interest in 'part time work' was not successful ..

Thru in Aberdeen every couple of weeks - I will pop in past JD at Insch and have a blether ..

Thanks again..

I'm sure there is a classic car restorer down near Stonehaven but I can't for the life of me remember their name. I only know because I bought an on old Landy that belonged to them once. I got the impressionm (perhaps from reading a thread on PH) that they were seriously expensive.

Are you thinking of Twentieth Century Classics between Aberdeen and Stonehaven ?

Previously I also used a mechanic at Kingussie as well 'Dave' ...? ...Restorations ?

Both been mentioned in various Forums
