Hi all

Fed up with the Bluetooth earpiece jobbies so fancy a visor-mounted unit - any thoughts as to the best model for battery life and noise cancelling out there? Thanks.

My Sony Ericcson HBC-100 works pretty well, and is a reasonably compact size.

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/5160233/Nexxus-Drivespeech-Pro-Bluetooth-Car-Kit-With-TTS/Product.html

Bought the other half a Nexxus Drivespeech from Play.com as reviews were good and cheap! she loves it. Occasionaly can't hear her properly but overall fine. Battery lasts ages which is a plus. Wouldn't sync phone book on a hero though.

Note: only pairs with one phone at a time

tips
- place roof side of visor and pull down on call (otherwise if visor down and park up visible to scum)
- has a bright blue led on hers- put some black electrical tape over it
- use topcashback.co.uk and if you buy let me know as I have a £1 off play.com voucher code somewhere iirc

Amir, thanks for the tip...

Some great reviews on the play site but do you know how it handles an iPhone contacts download and what's the mic and speaker quality like at motorway speeds (in a Noble?!).

Seems great value for money either way...

Don't have an iphone (we are both on HTC hero's).

Just looked at your location and too far away or could have borrowed for a day although now compared it to your amazon link and the £25 supertooth has same high reviews more battery life and multiple pair so seems better.

Assuming a Noble is more noisier than her car (a 1 litre Yaris hehe - think both amazon and play will let you return without bother so I would order a few and return if not up to it, or if none then do a parrot installed one/bluetooth headunit with mic as they are well regarded.

You may want to post on the Noble forum though or change title to best bluetooth kit in a sports car/noise cancelling

Hi there

I've had the SuperTooth for the last 3 years or so, and it's been utterly reliable and fantastic for me. Call quality has been great, no one has ever complained about noise on my side etc. Of course I'm in a quiet BMW, I don't know how much noisier Noble's are, but for the very low price you can take the punt, and if you find everyone complaining at you it's too noisy, then either sell it off or use in another car. I'd say running around in a Noble would mean that you'd have other things such as driving pleasure on your mind rather than gabbing to someone!!

Another plus point, is that you can just hop from car to car with it. A Couple of recent business trips for me in LA & LV I just took the unit with me and plonked into the hire cars and voila! I don't see the point of a wired in kit such as Parrot's and Bury's etc.

Cheers, Dennis.

think buying online is covered under distance selling regulations and as you haven't physically seen before buying they have to give you money back. Many cover the postage too.
