Test drove a Subaru WRX STI PPP on Saturday - AWESOME!!
Fully expect to get shot down in flames for saying this but the car was unbelievable - neck snapping stopping power and braking ability - hardly any lag and a decent noise.
shame about the 'bling' image and 'Max Power' brigade but seriously tempted........
somebody shoot me!!

The max power brigade haven't got all the Imprezas yet.
Don't worry about liking Imprezas, they're very good at what they do - hence they are very popular. As you've just found out.
Impreza owner (with bling gold wheels
) in case you couldn't guess!
But I am looking for a Griff as an addition to the driveway...

nah - scoobs are cool, they also can make pretty much one of the best noises this side of... errr.... a V8 TVR. The Hayward & Scott back box makes the flat-4 sound awesome.
It is sensible and practical as well, though the terry-tuff brigade has given it a bit of a max-power reputation.
Mess about with the suspension settings and you can get a nice adjustable balance as well - not simply the usual 4WD phut-phut-understeer.
I had 2 of them and the only thing I can say about them is that you WILL get bored and complacent. They are initially incredible cars, but the performance is usable pretty much all the time and there's no real challenge to driving it quickly. Of course, that's when *very* silly driving can happen
I guess that most times a Scoob is stacked, it's stacked good'n'proper.

In comparison half the fun of the Griff is simply never feeling confident enough to give it anywhere near 100% !!
