hi, looking at a griff which might need a new interior
has any body had this done,or can recommend a professional upholstery

Yes had mine done by D&C Trim in Blackpool. They are fantastic and the work is second to none.
Oh and they used to be the original trimmers for TVR

Err, see some in the flesh BEFORE you decide. I had some [minor] work done on recommendation from here and wish I hadn't. It's a lot to fork out and YOU have to live with the results. Tread very carefully.

If considering buying a Griff with a ropey interior I'd expect a pretty hefty reduction - it may be quite expensive to get done, but you'll have a great car.

Is a recommendation I keep hearing from a number of sources and I don't know about anyone else but I kinda struggle a bit . . . these weren't the greatest put together cars, therefore is that a recommendation at all?

I know they would have worked under 'the management' and when it's their own business it will be a very different thing and I can not comment on their work qualatively . . . but there are so many quality trimmers around that shipping the car all the way back to Blackpool on the premise that they used to work for the factory is never going to get me to have my re-trim done by them.

At the weekend I did have in my hands on one of their carpet kits for a Wedge, but that's hardly a platform to wax on about their skills, which I'm sure are there . . . Maybe we have a responsibility to support ex-workers . . .

Anybody used Coverdale for Griffith carpets! I sent for some colour samples.

Previous owner of mine did the coverdale thing. Fitted them himself and it's not a bad job - no significant fading or wear in the five years or so since.

Yep, several owners have successfully fitted Coverdale carpets, including me. One section supplied was a mirror image of that needed, but a replacement was supplied by return.
