Modular gravity retaining wall systems
Discussion
Am looking at clearing a hefty bank to the side of my place so as to form (initially), a hard standing/parking area and (ultimately) a site for a workshop. The bank is a brute, approx 2m in height but happily stable, not water logged and is not heavily loaded above/behind (neighbours garden only supported). I originally started off having a design done for a cantilevered poured concrete retaining wall that would be integral with the hard pad and reinforced with tie rods etc. Budget and time now indicates a modular gravity system might be more effective assuming something aesthetically suitable and robust enough can be sourced.... any experiences?
Company I work for always seem to go to bell and webster if precast retaining walls are required.
