Certificates and code signing.

When we install our software on Vista / WIndows 7 it prompts the user with the UAC to confirm the install (obviously). However it shows the publisher as unidentifed.

Am I right in thinking that to get your name and information about the company in the warning box you need to use a certificate and code signing ?

Anyone got information on this process (how it works etc), prices, recommended places to get a certificate or certificates etc

Is their limiations on the units you can distribute with any certificate ?

Or am I thinking of the completely wrong thing all together ?
