A Sad Day....

After only 4 months and 2,400miles I had to let my beloved MY2010 V8V go:-

This is a good question and highlights the lack of any point contained in the original post.....

Because...gulp!...I could not fit this on my parking area as well.....

This vehicle is absolutely insane. You have to be totally mental to engage sport mode! I've put this off in favour of a V8 as I thought the V12 was not worth it nor much different to the V8.

I was wrong.

Great decision.... and fooled some who were prepared to write you off wink

I think that the colour has looked great in every photo that I have seen but my dealer talked me out of it. Still love what I chose but can't wait till I see one in your colour in the flesh.

I assume "an ending" is based on the Clarkson video

I guess. I nearly bought that car from Grange Welwyn in October last year. Deal fell through.

Got this one from JCT600. Its an AM press car, 2010/59 with only 900mi, at an absolute stunning price and works prepared!

It's going back in next week to have the louvres painted up. Its AM titanium with an all-black interior.

cool Great looking car.

Only just got my V8 but the V12 would certainly be on the list if I was "upgrading"

Enjoy!

Given the Clarkson article the other week, have you asked pointed questions about other press cars having the same keys/alarm fob codes?

Yeah, guess you could lose sleep over it. I think if someone lifts off with the car and I have both keys its one for the insurance and lawyers to sort out as possible culpable negligence by AM.

Personally, I'm more concerned about the t**t who scuffed the nose of my V8 with their big 4x4 wheels and left a tread mark on my wheel arch before buggering off without a note. Bas**rds!

On Clarkson, I wouldn't listen to everything he says. Last week he critisised that the pedals of the Rapide were too close together. I think they are the same layout as every other Auto V/H Aston. Perhaps his feet got bigger?

Are you getting the bonnet grilles painted? How much are they charging for that?

Suprisingly just over a couple of hundred quid!

I have not seen it yet in the flesh (away on business)but the painter was JCT's regular body-shop repair specalist and I'm told it looks superb in the flesh. They have done a number of them apparently.

It certainly tones down the agressive look of the bonnet from a distance - whether others think that is good or not is for you to decide. For me, anything but carbon fibre there would be an inprovement.

Hmmm, so I could save a couple of hundred by buying a black car and not having the louvres painted ? Excellent, it all helps the business case... hehe

Looks great, by the way.

If you pay more do they match the colour too biggrin

(to be fair it could just be the photography. But be picky when you pick it up)
