HELP! All Noblemen!
Discussion
Attempted to go for a quick blast this evening... mainly to harvest some pizza.
-Car difficult to start, took a while for ignition to occur
-Boot down in 2nd... 'wheres the power?'
-Check all gauges, and noticed that the boost pressure is only peaking at ZERO not its usual 0.5 ish under full bootage.
It feels like only one of the turbos is working.
Any ideas guys, or anything obvious to check for?
Additional info:
-Hadnt run car for at least 4 days
-Was forced to fill up with regular unleaded, not 99 or above on current tank full.

Dan, I had this once with my 2.5. Went out for a drive in a Mondeo disguised as a Noble! No loose hoses or anything visible, just couldn't get any power. Frustrated, I revved the b******s off it and all started working again. Still don't know why it happened, but something must've been stuck. Can't work out what though as I thought both turbos worked independantly of each other.
Deffo not the fuel difference - but I suppose could be bad fuel
Someone I know had bad fuel recently - car conked out after a few miles from fillup - she called Sainsbury's - they said no prob but call the next day to check - then when she called the next day they said loads of people were complaining and they'd pay for repairs. Tanker Geezer mixed up the Diesel and Unleaded fill-up - oops!

If it isn't a loose hose or a disconnected wastegate actuator, with the engine off remove the intake hose to each turbo, reach inside and check to make sure the compressor wheel spins smoothly, and check the endplay on the axle. Had a car with similar symptoms - the bearings on one turbo were bad due to a clogged oil feed line...
Hey guys,
Problem solved! I noticed some other people are experiencing similar problems so I thought I'd update.
Big thanks to Matt at Jetstream for talking me through obvious checks on the phone... but I couldn't spot anything pipe wise...
I had to head over to borehamwood to grab my tax disc, and realised I was almost next to the TVR centre so I popped in to see skip on the off chance he might be free.
It turns out, the front turbo wastegate actuator arm had become detached, so it was just running open all the time. BINGO... lifted the car and re-attached... all right as rain. Big thanks to Skip!
