Totally dead no life in battrey but it was fine yesterday - battrey is only 3 months old.
I tried to jump start it but still no luck - is there a fuse or somethong somewhere ? which could have disconnected the supply
Any one got any ideas ?
Thanks in advance

have you tested the battery with a volt meter to check its still ok, if so could be a relay or fuse.
other thing it could be is the immobiliser or duff starter motor. best get someone to look at it if your not sure

Yes there is a big 100 amp fuse attatched to the underside of the drivers engine mounting bracket. It is very rare for these to blow so be carefull if that is what the problem turns out to be and what caused it to blow in the first place.

Ah but thats just the alternator fuse. There is a fuse(sometimes) between the battery and the fuse box, follow the smaller cable from the battery(pos).

I had that happen to me. That fuseable link under the engine corroded through, so the alternator stopped charging the battery. Doesn't take long to discharge the battery. However, you would have noticed the charging light come on (top red light between tacho and speedo) and would possibly have died when you were driving it.

Yeh good point david but if the alternator is not charging the battery will go flat, thinking back i had a similar problem on a 500 griff and what it turned out to be was behind the dash around where the stereo is there is two brown wires which are connected by a bullit type connector and they had corroded and the car was not that old, but these are your main feeds to everything behind the dash ign lights etc etc... just another thought
