Looking to replace my TT with something a bit more focussed shall we say and have a hankering for an M3. Although I'm most likely be pursuing the 2nd hand route, if I were in the market for a new one what sort of discount should I expect?

search on here and you'll see that dealer stock was going for £50k, but that was over the quiet christmas period, generally prices have firmed up on every thing. you could try the Joy weekend coming up, they usually have targets for those events, or wait till the end of June when every one is on holiday and the dealer has half year targets to hit (unless they already have...)

When I was looking a few weeks ago I found most cars could be had for a shade over £50k (pre revision) but had to be sold last month for that price.

I went second hand in the end, didn't want to lose £15k in as many months wink

The discounts in Q1 were good as there was support. This has been slightly
reduced for Q2 - but not much. The dealers are now offering free spec upgrades
worth around £2250 {eg free M-dct transmission) and then there is the margin to
play with on top - a keen dealer might offer you an additional £3k off if he
has cars to sell - Germany is keeping UK supply very tight this year - which
means dealers cannot give their cars away.
I am happy to put you in touch with someone who can help.

I've been having a casual look around the new and used M3 market over the last couple of months, I've found one supplier who advertise that they can supply a new E92 coupe, DCT + 19" wheels for £3630 deposit and £605pcm for 36 months (and that including VAT) However, that seems very, very low against other 3rd parties, almost too good to be true...

Anyone got an idea on the kind of private contract deals BMW are offering at the moment for a new M3 over 3/4 years?

Thanks for the tip guys. I will be going down the 2nd hand option as I don't fancy losing £20k as soon as I drive it out of the forecourt. Just need to decide whether to go the E92 or CSL smile
