Hi All,
It's been a while since I visited the Moray Motor Museum, at least 3 to 4 years and I live in Elgin. Won't be able to attend a run if it's the 1st w'end in May as I'm off down to X-Works services at Kirkham to pick up my Chimaera after a 6 year upgrade and restoration (long story). However, if anybody is planning to visit the museum, don't forget to take a camera, some of the cars they have got in there are well worth a pic or 3.
It's not the biggest of museums, but what they have got is superb to look at and some very interesting cars are on show.
Cheers,
Ron McC TVR's BOF 246T & L627 YAY

Ever out in the 3000 M Turbo ? What colour ? If you do you must get a lot of attention !! Every time I went for petrol at the West Road garage in Elgin always got a question from another driver - young and old... and a fair amount of admiring glances !!
Ive never seen another 3000m or Taimer on the roads up here for years apart from the TVR days at Alford
Regards

I work abroad so don't get to drive the M as much as I would like, there are a few other TVR's up our way, Paul Chaplin's yellow Vixen in Forres (should be at Forres theme day) Andy Little's Tuscan, also a blue 350 wedge, Jim Brodie's 3 TVR's in bits sitting in his garden. There's a TVR or 2 at RAF lossie as well. Pics of mine here:-

Haven't a clue how to upload pics onto Pistonheads, so won't try. Looking forward to having a wee blast or 2 when I'm on hols at the end of the month.
Cheers.

Will probably only make it to the Museum in Elgin as I will probably be at the Forres Theme Day at some point.

Only kidding Ian

So Curry B you got a plan formulated for this or what??
Anyone else planning it? Should be able to twist a few arms and get some of the Nessy lot out for the day.
Well the plan (roughly) was to meet in Alford at the museum there and then move on to the Moray later. It takes just over an hour to go from one to tother.
The Grampian opens at 10am and the moray at 11, so I would suggest that we meet at Alford at about 10 for half ten, take a tour of the museum maybe's then head up to the other museum via the lecht cafe for a bacon roll.
Sound good?
