Early Gallardo - more manuals?
Discussion
Is it just me or are most of the earlier gallardos manual?
Considering changing the 360 to an e gear gallardo but at first glance there dont seem to be that many available.
Is there any reason for this?
Are they so good that less are selling them or did people avoid buying them in the early days due to fragility of the clutch in e gears?

The 360 is a manual and it's great, I'm just embracing the future now

I have noticed your posts from acquiring the gorgeous orange one to selling it again and getting a Sagaris. Would be interested to know your reasons as I used to have a Sagaris also - as good as it was I can't really figure out why you'd go for one over a Gallardo?
I've not got a Sagaris, yet.
I sold the Gallardo as it was just too impractical as a day to day car, sounds daft I know, but I can't justify having two cars. So I sold that, and bought a RRS, great car all round, but just not my thing.
I used to own a T350 so keen to get back into the fold. I'll return to the Gallardo one day, but it'll be a Superleggera for me.

Zero reliability issues, which was great (and a welcome surprise)
Like you, it was my only car and didn't want a second car. It was fine for say 80% of driving requirements.
But as an only car, there are times when you just need to get somewhere - you don't want to be coming to a complete halt on speed bumps and taking off on pot holes.
Overall it was mainly the very hard ride, also the amount of time taken for it to reach operating temps meant short journeys were a pain.
I could still live with it as I only drove it on the odd evening and weekends, but towards the end I needed to drive into work - in rush hour traffic the car really suffers. Heat build up is immense and the clutch feels very very heavy for stop starting.
If I hadn't had to have driven to work for I probably wouldn't have changed it for the 360 which seems to do everything the Sagaris did but with alot more comfort and zero hassles.

Didn't you say it melted your shoe on long journey? Like you, it was my only car and didn't want a second car. It was fine for say 80% of driving requirements.

Forgot to mention that one! Yes, the leather piping on the floor mat melted and bonded with my shoe on a fast run to Paris! Treated that as a right of passage to TVR ownership lol

The Murci is still what I really want, but having trouble justifying it to myself at the moment so this seems like a good stop gap.
