In particular old people. I have a particular client who comes into the office fairly regularly to negotiate orders / settle accounts etc... A lovely lady, probably late fifties / early sixties. Done very well for her self, drives some big Merc thing that gets changed every year. Her estate puts in a lot of orders with us - so a very valuable customer too.

There is, however, one problem. She dresses like she's a flipping 18 year old. Seriously, it's gross. My staff can't even keep a straight face any more when she comes in.

UGH. Rant over.

As you were, chaps...

Fook me, that's her.

Well not quite. This one looks older than that, shows more, and is wrinklier.

There's a granny drops off/collects some kids at my daughters school who always wears flip flops, combat trousers and a flimsy little vest thing, with no bra.

She looks sort of ridiculous, like she too wants to be 18 again, but she does seem to have a pair of surprisingly large and pendulous chesticles...... scratchchin

Some people want to get old disgracefully. And I think your sense of embarassment deteriorates as you get older, and the f**k it what do I care mentality gets stronger.

It's only a problem. I know of a few older women who can just about pull off dressing like their daughter. There is however that fine line and once you are over it you stand out like a sore thumb.

I have no issues with peoples personal taste. That's what defines us. The head teacher at my daughters school is a fking state though. She in her mid 50's with a modern hairdo which looks repectable. Her dress sense is amazing though she wears combats, vests, super lowcut tops, skirts with the side slit. To be fair that doesn't really bother me. What does bother me though is the fact she wears loads of lipstic all round her mouth like a gollywog. It creeps up the cracks round her mouth and seems to expand like a litmus paper test. On the other hand there are always planty of young chavs in the playground waiting in their pjs or vests minus bras and pj bottoms which isn't to bad a sight. As you may well guess I don't live in a great area.

When you say this, you're referring to the parents, right?

ffs arse - i thought I'd heard it all but a great gra...... dear no

back to the OP... my mother who is in her 60's (and dresses as such) said to me the other day she has not aged in her mind since she was 18 - and wishes she could still see an 18 yr old when she looks in the mirror - in our hearts we don't age - the issue is the delusions of a 70's mini skirt wearing hippy who is now in 2010 and still flashing her clunge like she deserves to be wolf whistled at from the scaffolding that is better suited to holding up her zimmer frame or baggy flaps

well, you can dress how you like or alternatively how you think others should expect you to dress. I have respect for the former but the latter seem to be prevalent on here.
