My Honda Accord Type-R has a slight judder when braking, at low speeds it is undetectable but a high speeds it becomes aparent.

The car has done 160k and had maybe 3 sets of disks on the front, these symptons have been there before and after disk changes.

Previously the tracking and balancing of the wheels has been checked. The disks at the moment aren't warped so I am at a loss as to what it is.

Any ideas? Are the calipers sticking? What else could be causing it?

Cheers

Alex

as your car has done 160k it could be any number of things.
how are the suspension bushes?have any been replaced since original?could be play in them not detected during an mot.same with balljoints.
bent or damaged radius arms or links?
possible ABS fault if car has it?
does it have discs all round?if rear drums they could be ovalled.

Bushes have not been replaced and other ATR owners have had these changes, they are cheap so probably worth doing.
I will have the suspension examined again but I think everything major is sound.
ABS seems to be fine, if you break very gently you can just feel the judder/wobble in the steering wheel. No ABS pulsing.
Disk all round.

Thanks for the assistance!

Would worn drive shafts cause any of this?
