I'm not kidding.

So today, having accumulated all (well, almost, but that's another long story) the bits required to fit my new steering wheel to the car, I'm parked up in the sunshine roof down by the side of the road where the underground garage is where I keep my car. I'm minding my own business, just sitting in the car, old steering wheel off, new one in the process of going on, when I see some 10-ish year old kids from the local estate in a group about 100 yards down the road. A few mins later, I'm still working, and one of the wonders towards the car. I look up, and smile, thinking he's just come to have a quick look, when all his mates start shouting "go on!" and he launches a water balloon at me from a couple of metres away. Needless to say it hits me, and explodes all over the inside of my car, over all the open stuff round the steering wheel and dash etc. Luckily I had the battery disconnected. Anyway, without boring you with the details, I found out where the little sh!t lives and will be speaking to his parents shortly now that I've calmed down a bit and after checking that all the electrics still work.

But seriously, wtf is going on? Since when has it become acceptable to water balloon a complete stranger, let alone when they're sitting in a (rather expensive car) minding their own business? At the risk of sounding like an old codger despite being 28, if I'd done that when I was a child, my father would have literally crucified me. But then again, it would never have occurred to me to even consider it in the first place....

Sorry to hear that. Lucky that didn't happen to me because I think I would have broken his legs (and I'm the least violent person in the world).

I've never understood why people scratch or damage nice cars. I've always just appreciated them, it's a shame more people can't be like that.

P.s just to prove point why don't you water balloon that kid when he's playing his playstation, that'll teach him biggrin

Sorry to piss on your chips, but don't be surprised if you get get told to 'fk off you flash ' by the parents.

I'd like to say I'd have given the little st a backhander across the face for such a thing but I;d probably end up on some offenders register while the little stbag laughed his arse off because of his 'rights innit'

This is a very disturbing comment. May I ask how old you are?

I would have violently hurt the boy doing something not to leave a mark such as pinning the fker down and maybe pulling his arm up his back or standing on his head until he was screaming. I wouldn't let anything like this go down unpunished.

You work too hard for your things to let a little dick head do that to you.

For god's sake, get a grip...

Had any parents said that to me........but wait......they wouldn't, i have that effect on people. When i am pissed, they whimper like little girls when in front of me smile
Violent?...me?...LOL!! Oh yea.
I recall this moment once when a couple of England shirted blokes spat into the bosses 360 spider while parked up in Vilamoura (Portugal). We were sitting in the restaurant about 20 meters away watching this. Anyhow i got the nod, and how we laughed as grown men cried that day. The bloody English abroad wink
Anyways sorry to hear about the water bomb Mario. Is this the area were you live?

I remember when younger (10/11ish) and trick or treating we egged a car for not getting a treat. The chap (who was probably the age I am now) ran after us and caught me... took me home where after telling my father I promptly got a slap and was grounded without the use of my spectrum 16k (ah the memories of manic miner).

Did I learm my lesson, yes I bloody well did. The problem these days as the child knows he won't get punished

In Leeds city center last year some students were throwing waterbombs and emptying buckets of water into convertables as they drove by.

I cannot put into words the level of rage I felt at the time. It makes my blood boil just thinking aboutit

Little st does deserve to be punished... but I dunno what reaction you'll get from the parents, as most of these scrotey kids grow up in this way because it is inherited.

Good luck though.

I'm sorry to hear about this and it is indeed unfortunate that you were working on the car at the time.

May i ask how old the children are roughly and what sort of area they come from (not that this should make any difference but unfortunatly it does)?

Speak to the parents very nicely and offer the little brat a ride which he will probably jump at. Take him out for a spin in the country then make him get out miles from home in the middle of nowhere.

Surely thats criminal damage? Cars are NOT designed to be waterproof on the inside.

rofl

The shame of it is, if at 10 years old, he's stupid enough to do something like that, he wont be a quick learner. He'll brag that he went in a Ferrari!

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I managed to reverse up the road, jumped out of the car and grabbed the kid. I then proceeded to put him over my knee and spanked his backside about 4 times. The kid was about 10 years and Im not sure who was more shocked, him, or me when I realised what I had done. smile Just bloody lucky I didnt have child services cvalled on me I suppose. smile
