Vader seats?????

Can anyone tell me when and why people started calling E36 M3 coupe seats "Vader Style" seats!!???? Folk talk as if this was an option, and where the hell does the name Vader come from?? If someone comes up with a Star Wars related story I'll pi55 myself laughing!!!

I have to say, I've never heard something so silly in my life!!! Lol. Vader seats indeed!!

Why the hell do folk insist on saying their car has Vader seats?? All E36 M3 coupes had them! It's as if they are an optional extra the way some folk go on! Or do people just like using the term?? Lol.

Do they? I'm probably wrong here but, I was under the impression that the early cars didn't have the Vader style.

Do they? I'm probably wrong here but, I was under the impression that the early cars didn't have the Vader style.

I had a few E36 M3's. 1993, 1994 then the last was a 1995 and they all had the same sports seats. The '93 had the Alcantara covering right enough. The only seats that differed from the "sports" seats were that of the convertible and the saloon versions. I'm almost 100% certain all coupes had the same style of seats from the factory.
