Garage in Sandhurst Recommendations

I bought a second car (Clio) about a month ago to be my daily driver. Got a problem with the coil pack and the rubber bung on the end of one of the leads has somehow got wedged onto the spark plug instead - not sure how that's going to come out but I haven't got a cat in hells chance of sorting it out, and to top it off a piece of plastic has broken off too and is floating about in there (probably need a straw to suck that up).

Just need a reliable mechanic to sort it out for me. I know there are a few garages on the Vulcan estate, does anyone know what they are like, or know someone else in the area, but not too far away as I'm running on three cylinders.

I've used Sandhurst MOT on the Vulcan estate for years. They have always been excellent. They do full repairs and servicing as well, not just MOTs.

There is a very good and reliable garage near me: J&M Autos. We jokingly call it "bomb site cars" as it's down a dirt lane and is very "functional" but the quality of their work is fantastic, their prices are always very fair and they never rip anyone off. They have even done work for free for me because it didn't take them long and they didn't feel the need to charge

On the other hand, I could pop over to take a look tomorrow after work if you like. If we can get the bits out you can get replacement parts from Camberley Auto Factors.

Nationwide in Swan Lane/Vulcan Way is surprisingly good. I've used them on & off since they were Trade Tyres. Not phased by a GTO. The manager is an ex-pupil of mine, which does no harm!

Dont use it if it has a serious misfire PC, or you will need a new cat added to the list

Which is why I offered to pop over to take a look. Also, my help is free apart from a cuppa

Thanks Lazza, but the problem is going to be getting the spark plug out with the bung still on it, not sure of the size of the spark but the sockets that we tried were just too big.

The other downside is that I set out to work an hour ago to find the MX5 won't turn over - think it's just a little damp although it started without any problems at the weekend.

Bring your tools with you then. And you can look at the 5 whilst your here too, that's upsetting me more than the clio.
