At least the cat looks happy....

That is, at least, more imaginative than wrapping stuff in newspaper.

Definitely. Has got to be 100 times better than a crappy little hut.

Alright, rabbit of some kind.

Now introduce a cat to the rabbit and create a truly horrible surprise for your flatmate.

I once bought 1000 live crickets and released them into a flatmate’s room. He had been out all night and couldn’t sleep until he had caught them all due to the noise.

It takes hours to catch 1000 crickets when they’re hopping all over the place.

You buy them from suppliers of food for reptiles.

This jape was inspired by one my uncle pulled back in the 1930’s. A quantity of frogspawn harvested from a local pond and raised until they became very small frogs. These were released into a room.

Always check your slippers, frogs crunch if you have loose frogs in your slippers when you put them on.

It’s a bit early for frogspawn, but it would make a useful addition to the water feature, although there isn’t time for them to hatch.

Every lawn needs a cowpat.

Glue a piece of metal tube inside one leg of that bed. Leave it just long enough to extend the leg and ensure the bed won’t sit level, so it rocks whenever he moves in bed.

Alternatively, ‘no more nails’ the bed to the ceiling.

If you are handy, remove the window frame from the opening and reinstall it upside down. It looks as if you are on an upper floor. If this is true and there is no security risk, install the window inside out with the handle outside.

Install a small radio inside the electric heater. You need to be able to transmit on the frequency its set to receive.

When he thinks the room is back to normal, start transmitting. Try to freak him out. Before you start tell him you keep hearing noises, experiencing sudden chills; build it up until you see a ghost.

I once had a loose cricket in my bedroom and it kept chirping all night. It drove me mental, I ended up spraying every nook and cranny in my room with deodorant in a st attempt to kill the bugger. If someone let 1000 loose, they'd probably keep the whole flat awake, and they might breed nuts

Oh is that all.

I thought it was the old condom hanging out of bum trick while he's passed out. That always gets a laugh.
