I saw this and couldn't see how it didn't constitute assault.

I understand the context of this sort of protest and I guess that in a land were most people wear sandals or flip flops, it's a bit more practical to take that attitiude, but here no. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is welcome to consider their opnion whilst standing in front of me this morning while I throw my shoe (a stout and sturdy size ten Churches brogue) at them.
