leak coming into drivers footwell

Hello

another day, another cerb minor issue!

for some reason my cerb has developed a water leak into the drivers foot well, i have taken a quick look and it seems to be coming from the right hand side...

i have done a pistonheads search and apparently there is a document for this on the tvr site with all the manuals etc, but i cant seem to find it!!

anyone have a copy?

Can't help with the manual but from memory the common things i can think of are,

water running down the door seal,
area around brake master cylinder leaking,
rubber grommit where the water temp cable/wire/hose comes out

If I can think of any more I will post them up!

Fix it quick before your ecu complains.

Ecus in the passenger foot well, this leak is in the drivers

although i had that issue many years ago, ended in a low loader taking me home!

it would have to be on major leak to fill the drivers footwell and then flood into the passengers!

I'd go for the clutch master cylinder cover first.

do i need to remove the pedal box to get to the master cylinder cover?

No, if you take off the panel in the engine bay just below the windscreen you will see a black round cap mastiked/screwed onto the wing. This is the clutch master cylinder cover.

Check the seal round the Power Steering Reservoir It had perished on mine and the drivers footwell was like a swimming pool when it rained.

I've posted this before but here's the list of all known water ingress points.

A list of water ingress points on the front offside on the Cerb.

1. The grommets which the throttle cable, water temperature capillary tube brake servo hose pass through
2. Clutch master cylinder cover
3. Pedal box securing bolts
4. Brake master cylinder reservoir bolts
5. Bolts securing bonnet stay rod bracket
6. Oil pipe union
7. Scuttle panel securing riv-nut
8. Brake block mounted on toe board
9. Grommets in floor pan
10. Bonnet release shaft
11. Windscreen
12. Bolts securing bonnet lock bracket
13. Door seals
14. Steering column bearing
15. Indicator side repeater

And the nearside footwell........

1. Wiring loom grommet or multiplug connector on early cars.
2. Grommet for wiper motor wiring
3. Wiper motor securing bolts
4. Expansion tank bracket securing bolts
5. Heater pipes
6. Battery tray securing bolts
7. MAP sensor pipe (barometric pressure pipe from rear l/h airbox)
8. Rivnut for scuttle panel
9. Windscreen
10. Door seals
11. Grommets in floorpan
12. Indicator side repeater

and as for the rear nearside & offside

1. Seat belt securing bolts
2. Door seals
3. Grommets in floorpan
4. Rear screen
