Hypnotherapists
Discussion
You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist. You don't need to use a hypnotherapist.
Well I've always believed/assumed that its ultimately only as good as you make it - ie. if you genuinely believe that it will work and that someone can alter your brain to make it genuinely find cigarettes revolting then that will work....but what if you dont believe you are hypnotisable?

It's all about the will-power then? Kidded myself that I could have "just one" and leave it at that.
I couldn't.

Then it won't work for you and you'll have to find another way of dealing with the problem.Cock Womble said:

I'm not an expert but I think it requires a level of accepting that it could work but also an ability to relax. If a client is always sceptical and worried about being programmed to do silly things they won't relax suitably. I might be very wrong, though.

I went to a hypno a few years ago to help me stop smirking tabs. It did work, for a while, but then me and the ex were out having a pub lunch one day and I decided to have a crafty Hamlet with my post-meal pint.
Kidded myself that I could have "just one" and leave it at that.
I couldn't.
It could then be said that the hypnotherapy worked. Kidded myself that I could have "just one" and leave it at that.
I couldn't.
Unfortunately, you then chose to start smoking again.

All these who proclaim 12 sessions are chasing the money.

How many sessions did it take to get you to that point?
That was just one session. At the time, I didn't even feel "hypnotised" (not that I'd know how I was supposed to feel) just quite relaxed thinking "this isn't really working", but I came out not really bothered about having a fag.Muzzer said:

Absolutely.Unfortunately, you then chose to start smoking again.

Had a consultation on saturday to see if it would help me. Go back in 2 weeks for the actual hypnotising, i'm receptive to the idea of it working so no doubt that'll help
This is the right way to do it - You have to go in there with a fairly open mind.If you go in thinking that it won't work, then chances are it won't. This is why a lot of doubters don't believe in hypnotherapy.
