NYC night club....

Cant seem to get the search to work, I am sure its been covered before but I cant find it.

End of next month off to NYC for 4 days and then off to Maine. Its a bit special as its the daughters 21st present (21 on Christmas day) so have pushed the boat out with limo and upper class etc.

But, she wants to go to a "trendy" nightclub. I shant be attending, but she will go with her Mum-so, where is a good club for her to go to-ideally something out of the ordinary.

Well I can't speak for a "trendy" nightclub but if you want to find a bar that's a great atmosphere with live music and a resident DJ later on in the night, you should check out Ulysses, just off Wall Street.
We were in NYC in '08 and just found it by chance whilst wandering about looking for a late pint after visiting Chinatown and walking all the way back (d'oh!) - it was hallowe'en weekend and the place was jumping - we ended up in there every night for our stay until about 5am!!
Most of the bar staff are Brits - and they always let you have one free round per night!
Not a dance club though - just a really cracking bar with small dance areas and their own DJ after the live music wraps at about 12.30 - 1am ish. Recommended.

If she wants different then check out The Box. It's very cool.

The best upmarket club is probably One Oak.
