You have to get rid of all your watches, you can have only the one, considering it has to last a lifetime, can't go out of date looks wise, needs to be reliable, doesn't matter on the cost, pick one.

After some thought and consideration, I would think this would be the one -

Omega Planet Ocean 42mm Black bezel with white numbers.

Now that's nice, really nice. No Rolex for you then? Thought everyone would bang straight in with a Rolex of some sort or another.

A tad predictable but I'd keep my Sub.

Not complicated (movement wise), not too flashy, not the best watch in the world. I love it though.

yes In my case, Sinn 556. 38.5mm case so subtle enough for a shirt/work with a bracelet or leather strap, can be worn casually with a Nato. Might not wear it rock climbing, though!!

I did think of a Rolex Milgauss and then the Planet Ocean, but the polished bracelet and lack of date on the Rolex was the deciding factor and thus the Planet Ocean won.

Totally love these myself but could you wear it with a suit or with a dj?

Can't we have two watches? An every day watch and a dress watch? wink

I have a PAM 140 and have owned various Panerai models over the last 6yrs or so but if I could only have one watch it would be my Rolex Yachtmaster full size, yellow gold with a white face.

Intreguing how most are going for the Omega over the Rolex. Have to agree with that, all the photo's show a damned fine looking watch no matter what the model. I think if I had to chose one out of my collection (as I have neither an Omega or Rolex), it would be the Breitling Colt, silver face, blue dials.

But, I think maybe a new addition could be on the cards and I too will be looking at Omega's (not sure which model yet).

Bags.

I've realised I mis-understood the rules, I thought it has to be one of my watches but if it can be any watch I like, money no object, then I choose Patek Phillipe's Super Complication pocket watch, worth approx. $11m, which I would sell and then I'd manage without a watch. If necessary I'd employ someone to tell me the time. Or I'd look at the clock in my Veyron.

Speedmaster Triple Date for me. Just.

I'm with tertius, thought it had to be one of our watches!

Nope, just wondered what you would replace everything you had with?
