What allows the gimp on Sky News, election anylsyt Micheal Thrasher, to make a Broad, Sweeping statement like that?

im not a council, but rent my property, and am considering voting BNP, and the majority of the nation have, do or will live in 'council estates' at some point, then he goes onto his LIEbour love fest, shocker.

He has a point i'll bet most of there votes will come from "estates" although you he really shouldn't be making statements as such.

Council Estates should not be breeding grounds for anything IMO.

If it stops them voting Labour I'm fine with a few votes going their way.

Out of interest, which of the BNP's policies are making you vote for them?

Not necessarily. You'd just need to be part of the 49% minority who never have, or will, live in a council estate.

Used to be rock-solid Labour until NuLabour left them to swing. BNP moved in to fill the vacuum.

Is that possibly right?

51% of the country will live in a council estate at some point?

Seems a bit high to me.

Either way, taking labour votes away can only be a good thing.

As I remember it, the members list on Wikileaks had a lot of very middle class professionals on it.

Council estates were sold off- so you may live in them as a home owner!

Thats members not voters i.e the ones who were literate enough to fill in the form and also afford the fee hehe

biggrin

but thats the only way the stats banded about would work where an estate would be split into owners and council tenants. (councils stopped building so 'housing associations' are the new council houses).

I can believe that the way we've been going for the last 13 years.
