Is it ok to poke the narcissist?

To anybody who has had a narcissist in their acquaintance they'll know they will often make a fool of themselves by arguing a completely wrong point until they're blue in the face.

It's fun for a while but as usual nobody really wins and sometimes people get hurt (emotionally). So what do you do with these people, have a bit of fun or just leave them alone?

Depends on my mood, sometimes I just nod and agree because I can't be arsed to argue, other times it's fun to tie them in knots and annoy them as much as (or more than) they are annoying me.
