Hi all,

just replaced the rear tyres on my M3. The alloys in question are genuine CSL's and the tryes on there previous were 255/40/19. Just replaced them with 265/30/19 as the CSL alloy is 1/2" wider.

Not too sure whether i have done the right thing in buying 265/30/19 instead of 265/35/19. Is there any benefits of having a slightly bigger profile tyre, ie better handling, less wear and so on. last thing i want is to have bought the wrong tyre and have to buy another set in the near future due to excessive wear

thanks in advance

the actual csl sizes were 235/35/19 265/30/19 i run the sizes on genuine csl rims, so yes you did the correct thing in using the orginal factory sizes.

i think on our cars rear room can be tight so the lower profile just makes sure their is no rubbing on hard cornering ect you will be very happy with you choice!!
