...how do they get away with this: my area has not had a council tax rise this year and we got a leaflet from the Lib Dems saying, "...and we stopped council tax rising this year...". A few days later the Tory leaflet arrives saying, "...and we stopped council tax rising this year...".
Today, guess what? Yep a Labour leaflet - "...and we stopped council tax rising this year..."
So at least two of them are lying and after a bit of digging it turns out it was the Lib Dems who pushed it through with the other two parties opposing it.
How do parties get away with blatant lies?!

Get away with it? There is no legal requirement to tell the truth, and as politicians they left the shores of morality an aeon or more ago. If you care check the facts or, more simply, assume there isn't a word of truth in it.
