Radar Jammer Mounting
Discussion
I ordered a snooper SLD920 today rather than a LE850 for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, it is reported that there is model of Reigl gun which has anti-jamming capabilities and if the 850 is used in anger against it it shows on the gun as having been jammed whereas the snooper doesnt produce a warning.
Have a look at
www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/snooper920.htm
The second reason for going for the snooper is size. Yes it does matter!!!!! Particularly when you are trying to hide it on a car without a grill.
I was told that the LE850 transponder is long and thin (about half the length of a keyboard) whereas the snooper transponders are about half the size of a cigarette packet.
Have a look at this to get an idea of the LE850 transponder size

When mine arrives over the next couple of days I will see if they can somehow be attached to the indicator casings.
I shall post my findings here.

I have a Bell Euro 550 and it's a great piece of kit. I live in Guildford and set mine up using the M25 / A3 camera's. Use the screen mounting option and position it just left of the centre screen air vent above the wipers. Any heat from the air vents will screw it up. Law is currently on our side. YOU ARE only using this device to pre-empt dangerous road conditions.

Cheers for that folks!
Do you think I'm right to go for a radar detector (which will be a Bel, I think) AND a jammer? Should I go for a GPS like the Morpheous Geodsey instead of the radar detector?
V. concerned about being done by plod if I have a jammer.
Think I'll get a Snooper 920 as opposed to the LE850 if I go down the jammer route - cheers for that advice and link to ukspeedtraps Paul-wh! (Out of interest, where did you order the Snooper from?)

I went for the Geodsey last year and it's fantastic, never misses a camera and no false alarms which you often get with the radar detectors. It even picks up temporary cameras through road works and digital averaging cameras.
If the old bill do pull you over it wont go off if they point the old ray gun at it and you can tell them it's a traffic black stop warning device

I ordered my snooper from Intranetics. They sell both the Bel and Snooper range (see the links below) so you should get a discount if you order more than one unit at a time. I spoke to Carly who was very helpful.

I didnt bother with a radar detector as with the Snooper and the Geodosy + this should give adequate protection.
One thing though, I am trying to think of the advantages of being warned of the digital averaging cameras 'cos slowing down before getting to one isnt going to do much for your average speed. I guess you could turn off the motorway if you are lucky enough to get to a junction before the next camera or does anybody know is there another way of fooling the camera?

Not sure but maybe like this?

As the speil says nothing will detect them because they do not emit anything to detect. All you can do is be warned via the Geodosy that they are there.
I have noticed an increasing number of cars with "dirty" rear plates, presumably to avoid rear facing cameras. Looks like they are going to have to dirty their front ones too!
