Trouble is, you can't start a business that will be successful without a fair dollop of cash.

I went back into education (part time, studying for a degree), built up a few grand of savings (several part time jobs) - I now run my own successful business.

You can't be grumpy, or just work when you feel like. Been there, got the tshirt.

Pull your finger out and go and look for some work. Contrary to popular belief you really don't need anything in this world to earn a few quid. Hell I don't even think I bothered to finish my a-levels and I have found work, easily.

But you can't just go around expecting somebody to post up links to exact jobs that suit your situation. And that st about being grump, please, I'm afraid people have to adapt to get by sometimes and you're one of them at this point.

Tbh college isn't that important to me, My Dad failed his a levels, my mum didn't go to college, my uncle didn't go to college, my brother never used his college qualifications and they have all done alright for themselves.

just seems a bit of a waste. Someone didn't get a place because you did and now you can't be bothered to finish.

It was far easier when they were growing up than it is now. To do it now you have to be mildly clever, and play your cards right. Unless of course you can make a go of a business then I agree.

You really want a job? Walk in to loads of places and sell yourself. It will not come to you.

Go to McDonalds and ask for a job. Work your ass off with a can do attitude and you will succeed. Expect a £20k a year job to fall into your lap when you don't even know what you have a qualification in and you are going to fall flat on your arse every time.

Rule 1: Be prepared to work hard. Be prepared to say yes when you mean no to overtime/stty jobs and mean it.

Rule 2: Be streetwise have common sense and charisma and you will go far.

Go and find a sales job, plenty of them, it won't be a problem to just leave when you want, and its likely to earn you a bit more than maccy d's if you can be bothered to try.

At 17, you have not earnt the right to be grumpy. With a grumpy attitude, and no A-Levels, finding work that will get you 'as much cash as possible' when the U.K. is in the current state its in, you will get precisely nowhere.

When my lad was 17 (he's now 19) he was at college (he got 5 A Grades) and at the same time he also had a job in a local bakery 6am - 9am. He saved up enough money to go on a gap year and buy a car. However, I realise you felt like dropping out so I guess it's different for you.
