Anyhow the chap you want to talk to is Guy Beddington, he's now working as a consultant at Skelta cars in Brisbane.

Hi Pyalong, Got a Name.
I hadn’t noticed that you posted in that other thread, and possibly wouldn’t have replied until a couple of days later for fear of it being an April Fools day joke.
Jokes aside though, I’m in Melbourne as well. I have been wanting to build one of these for a couple of years now, and i may get to doing it soon. In the meantime I’m busy building a small hill climb race car with a few other blokes that i know. It should be good enough for fastest time of the day (on most days, unless an F3 or a Gould rocks up). My reasons for doing this are that I wasn’t comfortable with the fact that the Ultima intimidates me and I wanted something that i could learn to drive in without worrying about knocking a corner off. It’s all going to be custom stuff, CNCd uprights, bell crank suspension and the like. These are going through FEA testing and mass reduction programs at the moment.
I have a heap of Ultima stuff around that I have collected via the net and printed articles over the years. I also have some other info on the stuff that was produced in Australia as best as i have been able to work out. I hear a rumour that the remaining tooling has been used for another project but can’t confirm it as its 3rd hand. Suffice to say that if true it would make it the Quickest (0-100mph) and Fastest (top speed) Ultima In the world.
Regards Ryan
