Afternoon All,

I know this has been covered before but just asking to confirm - do remaps on M3's make much difference?

By that I mean increased power/torque etc.

A friend is looking at having his E93 M3 CAB remapped and has been told he'll get approx 450BHP post remap.

I think that is somewhat far fetched, anyone got any realistic ideas?

Is he best spending the £900 on a new backbox/de cat etc?

Cheers

I've heard great things about DMS re maps, along with proof of near 450bhp!

I would need to drive one to see whether it was worth the cash though, a grand is a lot of money if you dont realy feel the difference!

Sell the lardy cab and by the coupe or 4dr which are both quicker.

The E93 M3 is heavier than an M6 IIRC!

Yep, power to weight of cab is lousy. Sell & buy an M6 cab.

Cheers chaps for the feedback.

He's not looking at selling it so suppose options are limited!

So say he was to spend a couple of grand would he be best off putting that towards a new exhaust or different cams etc.

Of if he wants a real performance gain then going down the S/C route?

He's happy to spend a bit of money but doesn't want to spend a few grand and get no noticeable gain.

Forget the remap, lose some weight off of the car. Exhaust, seats, bonnet, bootlid, wheels....all these weigh and better lighter components can be found to help improve feel, performance and handling.
