We've been given two slots to drive at this event which are being taken by myself and Paul (Sh*thotfast) We've also been offered an area where we can static display (away from the main car park and seperate to the PH sunday service) we will need to get there at 9am and stay for the bulk of the day but as there's a lot going on, the track event, driver training, 3 live bands, stalls stand and rides in helicopters, double decker buses etc that shoulnd't be too much of a hardship.

Public entry is £7 per person we get it for £7 for the car (all the money goes to the charity so I don't think thats unfair)
the link to book the car for static display is here..

http://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/shop.asp?secti...

and if you want to book a supercar ride you need to do it here (and booking in advance is a good idea as they're likely to be sold out by the day itself.)
http://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/events.asp?ite...

(don't buy an entry ticket, the display pass takes care of that)

Harsh who is co organising this event will be around to answer any questions on here, he did approach Ultima directly but they said they couldn't make it frown

We need a list of who is up for it so the organisers know how much space to give us on the day.

Unfortunately no, the organisers felt I would be taking to much attention away from the track events hehe

I hope your going? As they have something that will appeal to you and will help with LuckyP racing

Guys, I'm out now - unfortunately, Cant seem to find a replacement ultima - which is strange! No one interested in driving the top gear track all day for nothing??

Anyway, have a great day, I am unfortunately out of the country for this weekend so really gutted to miss it - I have informed the organisers.

anyway, have fun those who are going.

Hey Pauil, yes it's a shame you cant make it but no worries.

I'm rather surprised no one waqnts to join us, but it's no realy issue as i've got other cars on the waiting list, another Ultima would have been nice though.

There's still time to jump in thoough and of course the more that come along the better the display will be.

if there are less than 5 though i'm happy for whoever comes along to join the Petrolhead Nirvana Display.

I can only think you must have been going for the 'first spinner of the day' prize!!! laugh

I did however take you up on the idea of some driver training. Mike Wilds at Snett on Friday. I would totally recomend him to show you firstly what your car can do (just try not to give up on the day right there and then!!) and then to help you understand the dynamics of your machines.

Here is a post instruction three laps. As a comparison I was doing 1.18s in the Ultima, these were 19s with a 20mph lower speed on Revitt straight!! It's all about corners you know!!

Mike 'Honorific' Wilds is a gentleman and a proper fast driver. Good choice Pete!
