What a cock.

Should have let him carry on and hopefully write it off against a wall taking himself with it.

What happened to that uninsured 17y/o guy who side-swiped the police car?

I didn't hear anything about the prosecution of him at the end of
programme voice-over. (I could be going deaf, though.)

Indeed! I couldn't believe his lack of awareness, and the uninsured thing was a piss boiler of the highest order.

At least he indicated...

He wasn't mentioned at the end. I thought that policeman showed poor judgement and lack of anticipation in going for an overtake of a car indicating right. The fact that the lad didn't have insurance was a "get out of jail free" card for the BiB.

I've watched a good many of these police programmes over the years and my impression of the police drving is that it isn't the gold standard that they'd have us members of the general public believe.

The Irish guy's an idiot, no question.

PC Joseph is a very arrogant young man, however, and I can see that he'd soon get up someones nose. I wonder how many complaints he gets each year.

I agree he could have anticipated the guy changing lanes a bit earlier. Plus it was a bit cheeky suggesting police drivers could never make a mistake while driving.

Probably the worst episode of Traffic Cops I've ever seen too. Nothing particularly exciting on it!

I wonder what the BiB in the SP&L section would make of that vid.

Personally I was suprised he reacted so late to the red clio's indication, which, granted was brief...

Is it on YouTube? It's worth watching again.

And yes, PC Joseph seemed a bit less firiendly than some of the other traf pol on TV.

I got that impression of PC Joseph as well.

The Irish guy was a ttock of the highest order and to be fair so was the woman with the rangy and her quest to find out where the oilcame from - but the copper did come accross as far to easily riled.

Probably bored of it day in day out thoguh to be fair to him.

She was an utter prat. Loads of other motors would have passed over that spillage without screwing up, she definitely needs to accept some responsibility for that.

I agree! The trafpol's attitude was that he was a grade 1 police driver so he wasnt at fault. Why didnt he ease off as soon as that clio driver started indicating? He had time to drop the speed. I wonder what the clio driver was doing changing lanes anyway - where was he going?

The only thing I could think of was that as the Police car rounded the left hand curve just as the Clio came into view, the Police car seemed to be more in the left hand lane, he then straight lined the right hand curve by taking the middle of the road. Maybe the Clio just didnt know where to go?

Anyway, no excuse for driving without insurance and the permission of the cars owner.
