Due to popular demand and to save running the risk of a thread hi-jack I've started this one up.

Does anyone fancy a night out in Sheffield to come and see my band play?

We will be playing at a place called West Street Live, on West Street in Sheffield on both Friday 30th April and Saturday 1st May.

The band plays all the good blues numbers, mainly from The Blues Brothers, Commitments, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Sam and Dave.......

Its free to get in, and usually a great atmosphere. Anybody fancying a good band for an event such as a wedding may want to pop along as those are what we do best, so you may want to book us in the future if you check us out.

For more info, check out http://www.highwaychild.org/

Got a friend in a band or two who play pretty regularly at West Street Live.

Usually a pretty good night.

I may well call in.

Book us then!

If there are requests for a paying gig like a wedding, we'll learn whatever you like.... sometimes we get funny requests. Imagine a Blues Band doing Take That songs? Me neither, but we did!

Yeah, there's plenty of Blues Brothers tunes... Along with the Elwood style dance!

The take that or whatever else thats requested stays firmly on the gigs they are requested for. But we do have alot of different styles of music we have to play for couples first dances, or if its a themed charity gig, like ghostbusters theme? James bond, rocky horror music etc.....

Adam, I'm hopefully going to look at one at Nick Cartwrights next week. Going to see if I can do a px.

For once, Jon's right, though it pains me to admit it! I play with Jon in another band and he really is a great sax player. I've seen Highway Child play a number of venues but you're always guaranteed an ace night out when they're at West Street Live, so get yourselves down there this Friday or Saturday, but don't expect to not stay long, once you hear them you'll be stopping til late.

Why thank you Marmite!

That comment wouldn't happen to have anything to do with you wanting to take the Ferrari for a blast on your birthday next week would it? You can take mine if I can use the Ghia?

With how loud the 355 is now, I could do with a quiet one to give my ears a rest!
