Yesterday we had our driveway professionally cleaned and it looks amazing - It is made up of large concrete slabs (50x600x800 ish). The cleaning has blasted away all of the mud and dirt that was in the gaps between the slabs and I think it would be wise to fill them in the same way that you sand between paving blocks.

What type of sand should be used for this? I would say the gaps vary from 1mm to 3mm.

Or prepare a mix of sand & cement, then brush the mix in between cracks of slabs, then use a light watering from garden watering can, to create a concrete mix.

The problem with kiln dried sand is that weeds grow in it or you get moss. I would always go with a sand and cement mix if possible. You gan actually buy some excellent pre mixed brush in mortars now that have resins etc in so set really quickly and last years.

I cant remenber the name of the product we used on our last paving job but you actually wet the ground first and brush the mix in. It looked fantastic when dried

It is not designed for the weight of vehicles, it is for pedestrian areas i.e. patios, paths etc.
