I am sure there will be someone out there who wants them all. Now whether they keep them white or not is another question.

I always knew he was a nobber but painting them all white ffs.

I dare say he'll be a few hundred thousand down on the overall proceeds as a result.

I have no firm knowledge, but I'd imagine he's selling them to buy others.

He's often spoken of his desire to get a 250GTO.

I also heard he had an Enzo on the way.

Why sell 3 or 4 and not all of them?

He's had the Enzo a while now.

Rumours are its to buy a 250 GTO which RM have (but are not auctioning).

He is also selling his stunning green 250 California Spider and a 250 SWB in RM's Monaco Auction in 2 weeks time.

As amazing as the 250 GTO is I would much rather his current collection.

Chris Evans said in his blog last year:

CAR NUMBER 4 - 1985 FERRARI 288 GTO.

REG NO. ENZ 3000

This car is the nuts - for me it's the car that bridges the two halves of design from the old scuderia to the new more mass produced cars but with only 272 ever made it is right up there with the all time classics.

I think this car is the most definitive Ferrari ever ! The whale tail ekes all the way back to the legendary GTO whereas the sharp nose literally points toward the future of the Enzo.

To start this stallion it's ignition to on and then fire her up with the big black push button start.

FOIBLES: Beware the whoosh of the turbos - if you don't know what they are they'll scare you half to death.

Also this car is very very quick so always brake in a straight line and be careful with the power when bringing it back in on a bend. I lost it once and headed sideways towards a very frightened man in a Ford Mondeo.

VERY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU WANT TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF - it is vital you let the car idle for at least 45 seconds otherwise the turbos will melt and have to be replaced !!!!!

This would probably be the last car I would part with if I had to - enjoy.

His drive time auction was to drive these cars if he sells how do the winners stand?

Asking £500k I gather for the 288GTO and then you would have to sort out that interior!
He does seem to get the cars up to fabulous condition but all white with blue interiors!

I'd have thought (albeit with my very limited knowledge)that a lot of those cars would provide a high return nest egg?

Evans is a great ambassador for ferrari ownership. He shares his Ferrari passion with everyone who will listen, and does not seem up his own arse either. The mans a legend in my book.
