Looking to update/negotiate our Streamline "package".

Anyone have any recommendations for who to "go with" as the rates we're paying at the minute seem quite high.

Anyone on here deal with this stuff?

Also looking to start accepting card payments over phone and online.
No idea where to start though.

Any thoughts or advice very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Vicky

OK, does any on here have experience of dealing with PaymentSense for their card services?

Our FSB membership lowers the cost of our card machine both the monthly rental charge and the cost per pound. In addition, we can process payments over the telephone via the same machine.

Be carefull in regards to accepting cards over the phone and online.

We did this once and the amount of fraud was horrific.

It seemed that the only way we could get protected against this was for the company to withhold payments for three months which due to the turnover and the small amount of profit per item priced us well out of the game.

Suffice to say we shut it down frown .

I only want it so I can take deposits to secure appointments as at the moment they have to come into the Studio.

That can't be that open to fraud surely?
Thanks by the way to you both.

Should be fine.

When they come into the studio they will be paying the balance with chip and pin or cash so no problem.

Also our site was for high end electrical good so was a lot higher risk than most.

CHIEF: I spoke to PaymmentSense "rep" yesterday and he reckons he can half our monthly costs.

Streamline: 2.8%
PaymentSense: 1.4% dropping to 1.2 in year 2.

Streamline have been charging you top $

Screw streamline into the ground THEN tell them your a FSB member and get a further dscount

We use Protx now sagepay to vet every transaction - we hardly ever lose anything

I use 123Send form our card processing. Ends up though Streamline, but was cheaper than the FSB rates last time I looked.

I'll dig out the rates & contact details of that helps. IIRC it's 1.5% for credit cards and in the order of 20p per debit card transaction.

Thanks for all the info chaps.

Got some "stuff" to use as leverage with Streamline now.
I'll let you know the outcome as soon as there is one...
