What about Afghanistan?
Discussion
Thankfully no one has been killed lately. But for the last few weeks it was almost a soldier a day and now nothing!
Now, as I said thankfully no one HAS died but does anyone else find the coverage strangely quiet?
Call me cynical but does anyone else think that the 'big push' has been postponed for the next couple of weeks in-case it harms Browns electioneering?

Could be due to the MOD restricting reporting from Afghanistan during the election.

There may be some truth in some news being buried. But I think its more likely that its getting very close to poppy harvest time, normally in May I think, so a lot of the Taliban fighters will be going back to farms to help with the harvest.
In that respect this conflict is very similar to medievel ones where people fight around the farming seasons.
