Worth flying from a different airport? Milan maybe?
Discussion
Hi All,
I'm due to fly from Heathrow tomorrow night, to Hong Kong with Cathay.
I can already see it's not going to happen as per plan!
Is it worth me using my train ticket (already purchased) to London, get Eurostar to Paris, TGV down to Milan, and switch my flight to fly from Milan to HK on Saturday?
I have meetings booked, and a stack of internal flights in China already booked and paid for, would be a shame to miss out on what's been a lot of planning!
I would call Cathay directly, but I'm sure they're already busy enough dealing with more urgent enquiries, wondered if anybody had been in this situation before?
Milan is pretty far south, and is (so far) unaffected. I could also fly from Rome direct, it makes little difference.
Just trying to solve a problem before it appears!
TIA.
