Hi guys and gals,

Booked tickets for the GP, just general admission.

Exactly how early do i need to be sitting down and securing a good "spot"?

Also on the camping front has anyone any experiance of the campsites which dont take bookings? How late can you get there and still get it?

Also any recomendations, all seem to have space still

The last GP I went to was at Brands in, I think, 1979. I got there at about 7.00am and struggled to find a really good spot. From what I gather, things have not improved so I would think you are looking at as early as possible - 6.00am - to secure a prime position, anywhere.

Start queuing about an hour before the gates open. I'm a grandstander these days so I'm not sure what time this is, but it used to be 5:30am. Once in, run like mad for your spot. Everyone else will be.

Everytime I've camped over, we've arrived on the Thursday night. You can pick your spot. Given many campers are there for the race weekend, I wouldn't expect a good spot if you only plan on camping over on a Saturday night! The later you go the more issues you will have.

The camp sites nearest to the circuit and nearest to a permanent bog!
