..I was planning to go into business alongside him doing the same thing but we've not caught up with each other lately on it though.. (plus I've had some other options appear).

A nice chap, very knowledgeable on the subject, and he should easily save you the £600 fee he charges in finding you a car that is value for money.

Cheers,
Matt.

Has anyone here SOLD their car through Rob? How does he find his cars? Does he scour the private ads like the rest of us or do people 'place' their cars with him?

Mine will be up for sale in March's Sprint and very shortly after on here in the Ads section. Any offers???

I found my car and Rob inspected it before I bought it. Great service and the report is good too...well worth it.

I agree, top guy and very helpful. Means you can be selective or go into it with your eyes open.

I got mine a bit cheaper cause I knew I would have some things to do at the next service.

The way I see it is : You have three choices as a first time buyer (like I was). Firstly, you can go the reputable dealer route (like I did) and pay over the odds (like I did), but get peace of mind. Second, go with a guy like Rob and buy your peace of mind in a slightly different way but have to put your trust in him. Or third, go it on your own and take the risk (not recommended if your gonna invest a large sum)

Bought and sold my Chimaera through Rob. Painless experience.

Bought the Griff through Agger. Would recommend him.

JAMES AGGER

Used to work at a TMS TVR and has set up shop on his own.

Not used either myself but have heard nothing but good stuff about both.

Good luck with the search.( sure you'd prefer a Griffith ]

The Agger question seems to have been answered Though last time I saw him, he looked more like he'd been Tango'd than St Tropez

I prefer the Griff but there are a lot of reasons for that. It's not an objective question - my Griff is a better match as a car for me than my Chimaera was.
