I bought a 3GS yesterday... Apple updates rarely seem worth bothering with these days. Take the 13" MBP update as an example. Waited for that, just for them to up the price for a bit more power etc.

Just read this on a blog, regarding the photo -

"according to IntoMobile Adobe Photoshop CS 4 was used on this image so I wouldn’t trust it one bit. It doesn’t make sense for Apple to make the iPhone with an aluminum case because it hinders the cellular reception."

I think youre probably right - that looks like a kitchen tile thats been photoshopped to add the logo and the 'noise' filter to make it look more convincing.

Doubt it. Apple are all for sleek and minimalistic design. Sticking a great big zoom camera lens with flash on the back would not work with that design philosophy.
