*Display*
This will display track/artists info.
Some are single line affairs whilst others have
multiple lines which are easier to read .
*Memory*
128MB will mean 4-5 hours /4-5 CDs
256MB 8-10 hours / 8-10 albums.
*Check for built in memory and expansion options *
*Optional Fm Tuner *
*Direct Encoding*
If you have access to PC:
You just put your original CD in and convert to MP3. Then download the tracks via the USB cable.
IF you have NO ACCESS TO A PC:
You requite a MP3 player with DIRECT ENCODING.
You plug your music source (hi-fi/personal CD player)
via the line out to the line in on the mp3 player.
You set the sample rate - higher quality means fewer tracks.
*Connections *
USB 2.0 is much faster than USB 1
(Check your computer )
*PC / MAC compatible*
Where are you going to use it ?
At work/home/friends place ?
Battery performance - As MP3 players have no moving parts , they can consequently give many hours of playback. Check the stated times with your choice of player.
Finally some CD/DVD players are able to playback MP3 digital files.
*ordinary* 128MB MP3 player are available for £60
One with encoding will cost around £100.
Regards
R
