Found this the other day http://myphotoweekend.com/brightonphotohunt/though... it might be good for someone like me who is in need of a few tips.

If the weather holds up could be a fun afternoon. Anybody on here done this before?

Cheers

I may be going to Brighton for the day tomorrow, trouble is, the Mrs will be with me, and it's not really her thing...

Just as an aside, it is the Brighton Marathon on Sunday - 12,000 runners and up to 30,000 spectators - should be image worthy.

I'll be there for that (shooting not running)

What sort of time do you think the running will finish? I wanted to be out of Brighton by about 12.00 noon.

Looking at the route, the roads I need to use to get out of Brighton will be closed.

Cheers

Road access details are here: http://brightonmarathon.co.uk/images/Essential%20I...

With a 9am start I expect the last runners will be through around 3 or 4pm

Just to mention the M27/A27 route from Winchester early on a Sunday would be very fast - the A272 pretty but very fiddly.

Town centre car parks will be a nightmare. Speaking as a local resident, I'd suggest, if you want to see the start, try parking around The Droveway/The Drove near junction with Dyke Road, and then walking down the hill to Preston Park where the start is.

I'm going to bike around various parts of the route to get some pics.
