Require help form the PH experts.

During my 'Gardening' leave between jobs late last year, I purchased an iphone on a 18 month contract. I now have a Blackberry thro my work, and although I like the iphone, I just don't use it enough to justify the £35 pm.

Is there any way of cancelling contract / returning phone / selling phone?

Thanks in advance for advice.

You can offer to pay off the remaining contract in a lump sum, and they may offer a discount. Nothing to stop you selling the phone to fund this.

Not strictly true. Can be canceled, and you then get a cancellation fee, which will be about the cost of line rental/month X the amount of months left. It should be less than £35/month X amount of months left, but really depends on the contract.

Quickly sell the phone while its still the flagship model, ring them up ask to settle the account and you should still have some cash in your pocket afterwards smile

The cancellation fee will be the remaining payments for the full term.

Not always. I canceled by Vodaphone contract a few years back. They charged me just the lines rental - i.e. they took off the cost of the calls that I was no longer going to make - even though I had an inclusive tariff.

I bet that wasn't a contract that included an expensive handset for "free" though, was it?
The £35pcm contract is subsidising the cost of the handset, so don't expect much of a discount if anything.
