Hi, I have a rough textured paint finish on my bathroom ceiling and would like to remove it and smooth the ceiling, then paint it with anti-mould type paint.

So far I've tried sanding it with a sanding pole type thing and with an electric sander, but the papers getting clogged very quickly.

Is there any easy way to do this?

I think you might have more chance if you try to get behind the paint with a scraper. Could try softening it up with a steamer or, if that doesn't work, Hire a plaster to skim over the top of the paint. Good luck!
