is the airport closures affecting post/couriers?

[Conor D]

I was supposed to get something in the post today, it didn't come.. I'm not sure if we got any post. I'm hoping it'll be here tomorrow or on Monday; It's amazon vouchers from work, I need them to buy a camera.

I'll be in Manchester (if this cloud of ash goes elsewhere) on Monday and I might get the camera sent to my hotel, rather than waiting until Friday to get it back home.

Do the couriers/mail rely on air for post going to Ireland? Or can they use ferries too?

It is Royal Mail, so whatever they use.

I would guess would be quicker and cheaper to fly it.

Yes, there are delays. See here - http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump1?catId=400...

It is affecting the business i work for, have no idea what the impact will be though. Anyone else here use Pitney Bowes for international shipping?
