Don't Drive What?

The Plain English Campaign has criticised the Govt's use of 'Don't drive tired' messages being displayed on motorways. It says the message is grammatically incorrect. :eek:

well I thought it was a good idea...nice to see them being used for something anyway...and considering the general use of grammar in this country, only Cambelt would probably have noticed

Could be used for other messages/ads.
"In the event of being caught speeding, you need Slagit and Slagit to get you off"
"If you are in a traffic jam, call us and let us know (highways agency announcement)"

How about "Keep left you twats!"

or

"If you can read this you're not going fast enough!"

I noticed on Easter Saturday, 0730hrs, on the M1, that these signs were only switched on for North-bound drivers.

I thought 'Don't read this, stupid - look where you're going!' would have been more appropriate
